Lindo the Jaguar is a graduate of the Human Jaguar Conflict Program at The Belize Zoo. A rescued and reformed cattle killer, Lindo has lived at the Zoo for several years, and is a living example of the challenges his species faces due to deforestation, vanishing prey species, and direct persecution by humans.

His wonderful personality and strong bond with our Zookeepers enable us to provide a truly unique experience, where guests are safely placed in a small enclosure within Lindo’s habitat.

Lindo is then let out into the habitat, and comes over to meet his visitors from the other side of the fence, working with the Zookeeper to show his intelligence and skill through several behavioral demonstrations.

Please remember to book with the front desk.
